PPP2 - STUDIO BRIEF 3 - RESEARCH LINKS

In preparation for the presentation each member of the group was tasked with collecting an individual body of research into a variety of subject areas relevant to the business. Dividing the research amongst the members of the group helped us to move through the research stages of the project quickly while collecting a body of informed information relevant to the specifics of the business.

PPP2 - STUDIO BRIEF 3 - POSSIBLE NAMES

One thing we discussed during the initial group meeting related to what name our company could have. The name is a very important, definitive aspects of any business as it is the first thing people come into contact with and should also represent an aspect of the business.

We decided in the meeting that each member of the group should generate a list of names from which we will try to select a final.

My list of names is displayed below, the highlighted names are the ones which I believe are the strongest.


STRONGEST NAMES;
  • Prime design.
  • Pure.
  • PPP (pencil, paper, print)
  • Made creative.
  • Studio Fresco.
  • Watermelon creative. 
  • Citrus creative.
  • Lime.
  • Pitchfork.

PPP2 - STUDIO BRIEF 3 - ACTION PLAN

During our first group meeting I printed off and filled in an action plan to help us divide the work load equally and manage the projects time scale. Creating the plan was useful as it allowed us to see what research tasks needed completing and by when. Additionally, it also allowed us to assess what information needed to be collected before all the data could be brought together in one cohesive outcome.  

The action plan was created as a rough guide to help us progress through the project and so some of the tasks and people listed to complete them changed as the project progressed. 



PPP2 - STUDIO BRIEF 3 - GROUP MEETING

As most of the group communication had been completed via internet based sources over the Easter period we decided to arrange a group meeting to which all members would attend to start defining some of the specifics of the company. 

Currently, although we had been collecting elements of research and had started to think of company names we had yet to make any concrete decisions. The session was useful as it presented us with the opportunity to define some company specifics and start diving the workload appropriately to help us progress with the project. 




Prior to the session I went through my past PPP notes taken during the seminars with John where he talked about the different aspects of setting up a business. From the notes taken during John sessions I was able to form a list of business specifics that we should cover and define as part of our presentation. 

The list also helped us to create a list of areas we needed to research which was later used to formulate an action plan. 



Additionally, during our meeting Leo took not of the specific points we defined regarding our business.
